This project features my mannequin Oliver.
Originally there was no real theme and so unfortunately my last photo
does not quite fit with the others but I chose to experiment with light and a
peacock feather because the feather is somewhat reflective.
The other three can relate better. The first looks like the threat of a
fire beginning. The second has
Oliver, who unfortunately found himself caught in the fire.
There is an image to the side indicating that maybe his soul escaped and
is safe. Or it could be
interpreted as ominous and the cause of him winding up in the situation. It is open for the viewer’s
interpretation. The third is
Oliver, experiencing instability and his soul is going berserk.
He is struggling to hold onto it.
This project was a challenge because it is hard to know what kind of
effect you will get. It’s very
experimental and each photo turns out very different from the
rest.
